LEGACY Global Sports and Brine Lacrosse announced today the roster of high school boys who will represent the New England region at the 2017 National Lacrosse Classic. The prestigious tournament will feature elite level boys and girls selected from regional tryouts held nationwide.brine LC

The event will take place July 18-21, 2017 at River City Sportsplex in Richmond, Virginia. Teams will compete in a championship format providing players with exposure to collegiate recruiting and a meaningful lifetime experience.

1. Darien (CT) 21-1-1 NE girls rankings
The Blue Wave has won four straight Large school state titles and seven in eight years. This year’s team is loaded with senior talent.

2. Westwood (MA) 24-1
The Wolverines won the Massachusetts Division I state title last year.

3. Wilton (CT) 10-10
The Warriors return a very strong nucleus from a team that has fallen to Darien in the state finals the past two years.

4. Needham (MA) 20-3
The Rockets fell to Westwood in the South Division I final.

5. Notre Dame (MA) 19-4
The Cougars fell to Needham in overtime in the South Division 1 semifinals.

6. Longmeadow (MA) 19-4
The defending Central/West champion Lancers will again be a Division contender.

7. Moses Brown (RI) 16-1
The Quakers are the defending Rhode Island Division I state champs.

8. Norwell (MA) 23-3
The Clippers are the two-time defending Massachusetts Division II state champs.

9. Loomis-Chaffee (CT) 17-0
The Pelicans won the Founders League and Western New England championships in 2016.

10. Pinkerton (NH) 17-3
The Astros won the NH Division I state title.
